Pick of the Month – January 2010 AT Pick: SixthSense SixthSense brings intangible, digital information out into the tangible world, and allows users to interact with this information via natural hand gestures. SixthSense frees information from its confines by seamlessly integrating it with reality, and thus making the entire world your computer. A pocket projector, mirror, and camera are worn like a pendant, hung from the user’s neck. The projector and the camera are connected to a mobile computing device (like an iPhone or a PDA) in the user’s pocket. These hardware components allow the user to use any surface or object around them for computing purposes. Essentially, any surface in the user’s environment can be used like a SMART Board (or like the touchscreen on an iPhone).
